CNC Machinist - Edmonton, Canada - Worley Fabricators

We are seeking a skilled
machinist/CNC operator to join our team.

The operator will efficiently and safety set-up and operate our
plasma table or beam cut machines in the fabrication shop.

The shift is Monday through Friday and would likely be on afternoon shift after initial training has been completed.

This position is located in
Edmonton, Alberta.


Responsibilities:

• Ability to operate, set up and download information onto plasma table or BeamCut machines.
• Ability to draw or modify predrawn 2D and 3D part files using AutoCAD based software.
• Setup equipment, load and unload components safely (i.e. place materials on cutting deck for processing, marking, sorting, and removal).
• Maintain proper and safe operation of all shop equipment.
• Comply with shop safety procedures.
• Maintain a professional work ethic.
• Must be able to organize finished parts for multiple ongoing projects.
• Perform routine maintenance of machinery and components.
• Ensure quality by following standard work instructions and identifying any potential risks to product quality.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Experience operating a CNC plasma table or beam cut machine (preferred).
• Understanding of steel materials (i.e. past metal trades experience to know material grades, nomenclature, etc.).
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate overhead crane and forklift (valid operator's ticket preferred).
• 2 years' experience working in fabrication is an asset.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, designs, shop drawings and basic math.
• Must have a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must work well within a team environment and have good communication skills.
• Ability to work safely and be a contributing member of a safe working environment.
• Ability to work independently and be organized to work in a fastpaced environment.
• Must be reliable and able to maintain excellent attendance.

Pay:
$28.63-$32.68 per hour
