We are looking for Personal Support Workers who are interested to work in a home setting located in either Toronto or Mississauga. This role is flexible and can work around your availability.

Scope and Responsibilities

Ensure client safety is maintained at all times.
Assist clients with overall daily hygiene including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing.
Support clients with ambulation, transfers, and mobility through mobility aids such as wheelchairs to avoid fall and injury.
Assist clients with their meals by aiding with eating, ensuring proper nutrition, and ensuring dietary requirements are being met as well as monitoring dietary restrictions.
Provide emotional support and companionship to the clients by listening to their needs, being attentive, engaging in a conversation, and providing encouragement and reassurance to promote social interaction.
Monitor changes in behavior, health, and overall wellbeing.
Assist client with other activities of daily living such as banking, shopping, and other usual errands.

Who We Are Looking For

Personal Support Worker (PSW) Diploma from an accredited institution
NACC certificate if credentials were obtained from a private career college
Has a valid First Aid and CPR certificate
Mask Fit certificate (for hospitals)
Has the basic skills and knowledge in caregiving such as personal care techniques, infection control, and basic medical terms
Working knowledge of spoken and written English and ability to take direction from appropriate professional hospital employeesMonday to Sunday (depending on your availability)

4-hour, 8-hour, and 12-hour shifts
