About us
Peach Blossom Childcare Centre INC. has 3 locations in North Vancouver, BC.

We are professional childcare providers and our goal is to provide childcare services for our community which includes providing nutritious meals for children.

(Infants, Toddlers and children up to 5 years of age.).

The Child Care Centre Cook is responsible for daily preparation of nutritious meals and snacks served to the 40 children (ages 9 months to 5 years) enrolled in the centre.

The kitchen is to be managed and the work of the Cook is to be conducted in strict compliance with Vancouver Coastal Health.

The Cook works in consultation with the Centre Director/Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen and its coordination with the other programs of the centre.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

Conduct housekeeping tasks necessary to maintain the kitchen in an organized, clean, safe and hygienic condition at all times
Deliver and collect lunch/snack trays to/from all onsite programs
Complete clean up after each meal (i.e. dishes, countertops, etc.)
Meets with Health Inspector as required to ensure kitchen and practices are in compliance with VCH's health code.
Regular inventory of kitchen equipment and supplies ordering
Preparing the list of all groceries in order to implement the planned menus, in consideration of the Centre's food budget and in consultation with the Centre Director
Prepairing the list of all household supplies for the Kitchen
Unpacking and checking of orders received on a weekly basis
