- extensive academic training, professional preparation, and qualifications in teaching all areas of this assignment at the secondary level
- demonstrated ability to effectively teach Senior Computer Studies and Career Education at the secondary level
- demonstrated willingness to explore and implement concepts from the new curriculum including awareness of and experience working with the First Peoples Principles of Learning
- demonstrated ability to recognize and acknowledge individual student differences and to adjust instructional practices accordingly
- demonstrated ability to devise and use a variety of assessment processes, including competency-based assessments, that effectively allow students to demonstrate their learning
- demonstrated ability to consistently incorporate a wide range of effective classroom management strategies that maintain the dignity of students with an emphasis on a proactive approach
- demonstrated experience in and knowledge of methods for evaluating and selecting instructional materials suitable for students with a variety of learning abilities and implementing strategies for adapting curriculum
