    Description

    The Warehouse Associate will ensure efficient material flow throughout the Bradford Remanufacturing plant.

    Key Accountabilities:

  • Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times in support of Toromont's Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
  • Shipping and Receiving of parts and material in support of plant operations.
  • Transport and stage material inside and outside the plant.
  • Organize and put away parts and materials as per defined Reman processes.
  • Verify information on packing slips with the material received to ensure there are no discrepancies. (MOG all incoming parts & incoming cores, create RID's for non 501 cores or any without paperwork)
  • Protect and Package finished goods in preparation for shipping.
  • Ensure proper load staging is completed in advance of loading trucks.
  • Coordinate shipping/receiving activities with the alternate shift.
  • Ensure accuracy in loading trailers by using scanners to barcode scan all outgoing shipments.
  • Maintain shipping logs for all outgoing shipments & incoming material.
  • Participate in incident investigations when applicable.
  • Communicate or Lockout any equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain a current forklift license, crane and working at heights certification. (training is provided)
  • Assist in 5S and overall plant cleanliness, promote a clean, safe and positive work environment.
  • Remove and breakdown wood crates/pallets, cardboard, scrap and empty garbage bins as required.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, maintain and assist with a positive attitude.
  • Participate in daily team meetings.
  • Check & complete daily maintenance reports (Forklift pre-inspection form) and submit to Supervisor.
  • Safety Operate company vehicles up to 1 ton flatbed trucks for the purposes of material transfer to and from external vendors.
  • Any other duties assigned by Supervisor or delegate
  • Key Qualifications:

  • Secondary School diploma with a good attitude and work ethic
  • Safety conscious
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Customer centric and organized with attention to detail and a sense of urgency
  • Team player and self-starter with strong initiative and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Adaptable to changing priorities in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Computer literacy with proficiencies in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of CAT SIS, or experience with Toromont parts operations would be an asset
  • Flexible, and willing to work overtime in support of business needs
  • Current forklift certification is an asset
  • A valid Driver's License with a current clean Driver's Abstract
  • Must wear company provided PPE including, but not limited to- Safety Glasses, hearing protection, gloves, high vis clothing, 6" high safety boots (boot allowance is provided), hard hat (where required).
