Job Type:

Event Dates:
Weekends April 1- May 28

Locations:
Various Retail Locations in
Bayers Lake and

Hourly Wage/ Pay Structure:
$16/hour

Job Summary

Summerhill is dedicated to developing, implementing, and managing public engagement and market transformation programs that lead to measurable improvements in energy savings.

We seek outgoing, energetic, and dynamic individuals to join our team as Event Representatives for our latest Bedford and Bayers Lake, Nova Scotia events.

The Efficiency Nova Scotia Instant Savings Campaign (running from April 1-May 28) will be promoted in-store at select retailers across the province.

The events will take place on various weekends in the campaign period to promote the campaign.

Efficiency Nova Scotia's Instant Savings Program is delivered by Summerhill Group and aims to: make customers and retailers aware of energy efficiency opportunities; encourage customers to take action by purchasing and installing energy-efficient products; increase demand for energy-efficient products; and increase the availability of energy-efficient products at retailers.

Responsibilities:

Educate customers on energy efficiency choices and related product knowledge (training will be provided)
Facilitate events at store level
Set up and wrap up the event/area booth
Track program participation, collect customer information electronically, and submit all reporting to the appropriate lead in a timely manner.
Receive event materials.
Provide excellent customer service.
Coordinate with the appropriate lead if additional POP is needed.
Complete paid training

Job Qualifications/ Requirements

Written skills; ability to log information accurately
Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable talking to new people and adjusting communication style as needed
Strong verbal communication skills in English
Able to remain in a standing position for the duration of the shift (typically 6 hours)
Access to a computer with internet
Friendly and professional manner and appearance

Working Conditions

Move equipment and materials weighing up to 20 lbs during the set and takedown of the event.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for the duration of the shift

Shift Times
9:30-10 am Set-up (30 Min)

10 am-3 pm Event (5 Hours)

3:00-3:15 pm take-down (15 Min)

Reporting at home after each shift (15 Min)

Paid training (mandatory for all new and returning reps)
