''Duties''—Clinical chairside assisting duties including knowledge of instrumentation
—Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.
- Prepare treatment room in accordance with infection control and practice protocols for each patient.
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for patients
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with insurance claims
- Collect and update patient information in electronic medical records
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Assist with billing and financial transactions
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and address their inquiries or concerns
- Experience working in a medical office or dental practice is preferred
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Knowledge of basic administrative tasks, such as filing and data entry
- Sterilization of dental equipment and cleaning of rooms
