    About the Opportunity
    • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports,statements on a monthly/quarterly basis in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
    • Review monthly variance reporting,ensure compliance with all financial and accounting policies, procedures, and reporting systems
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation
    • Maintain and oversee all financial accounting systems and maintenance of the general ledger;
    • Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are remitted in a timely manner
    • Responsible for proper accounting of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed off
    • Prepare and present quarterly reports on capital to the Board's Finance & Audit Committee;
    • Submit all financial and statutory reports to comply with government funding, legislative and internal requirements
    • Support the annual audit process and liaise with the Board's Finance & Audit Committee and the external auditors as necessary;
    • Responsible for the annual operating budget, capital planning process and Cash flow management
    • Evaluate the organization's technologyneeds, monitor risk management policies and risk management procedures
    About You
    • Professional accounting designation
    • Five to ten years of experience as Director of Finance or equivalent, preferably in a not-for profit or healthcare organization
    • Experience in the Long-Term Care, Community Services for Seniors' sector
    • Strong accounting skills and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles - 8 plus years
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation and facilitation skills and the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance team members
    • Excellent analyticaland organizational skills
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft application software (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
    Pay Rate
    $60/hour
