RESPONSIBILITIES/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:


  • Installation of overhead patient lift ceiling tracks in client homes and home facilities.
  • Installation of stair lifts and porch lifts at clients homes.
  • Load/Unload trucks.
  • Measure and prepare site.
  • Anchor supporting hardware.
  • Install and test equipment.
  • Installation of railings, wooden decks, wood and aluminum ramps. Accountable for tools provided.
  • Instruct clients on proper and safe use of products.
  • Preventative maintenance and load testing of products.
  • Trouble shooting for basic operational issues.
  • Test for current, battery amperage, diagnose circuit board errors, wiring issues. Comply with all health and safety regulations.
  • Perform other associated and related duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Knowledge of a professional discipline, technical specialties, related processes and / or people issues requirements; capable of implementing practical procedures of systems which are moderately complex. Leadership and organizational skills are needed.
  • Familiarity with Bruno, Stannah, Handicare, BHM/Arjo, and Waverly Glen lifts is an asset.
  • Minimum level of education: High School diploma.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license with safe driving record.
  • Moderate knowledge of mechanical and electrical disciplines.
  • Work experience: 5 years.
  • Assist the sales function in successfully installing and completing installation, service and maintenance of equipment and inform team accordingly.
  • Provide technical advice and support to clients.
  • Resolve all customer complaints in a constructive and timely manner.

  • Familiarity with basic tools.
  • Some Construction experience an asset, however, on the job training will be provided.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Ability to lift 75lbs.

ATTRIBUTES:


  • Ability to work in tight spaces.
  • Ability to read basic drawings and follow instruction.
  • Comfortability with working on ladders with tools such as drills, wrenches, saws, etc.
  • Available for oncall services outside regular business hours.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

WORK HOURS:


  • Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with a 1⁄2 hour unpaid lunch.
  • On Call on 4 week rotation.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$42,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
