Project Management- Defines and manages the scope of projects to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters.- Guides and directs project team members and other project leads to ensure compliance with set standards, procedures, and guidelines.- Ensures project deliverables are transitioned and measures project performance to ensure desired business objectives are achieved.- Partners with business area/project leads to understand project needs/requirements to effectively support and manage the project.- Manages the project deliverables, timelines, resources, and costs.- Manages external vendor relationships to define statement of work and ensure all deliverables are delivered on time and on budget.- Identifies, assesses, and appropriately manages all project risks.- Anticipates problems and recommends approaches to course correct (e.g., scope, schedule, budget).- Ensures project communication to stakeholders and impacted parties is planned and executed.


Project Planning- Collaborates with business and IT leadership to develop a well-defined project plan that clearly states the project's objectives, scope, assumptions, timeline, resource requirements, risks, benefits, and budget.- Develops full-scale project governance documents (e.g., project charter, business case, cost-benefit analysis, and RFP support).- Defines key roles and responsibilities and works with cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate resources are assigned to the project.


Project Reporting and Auditing- Documents and reports project status to the project team, management, and steering committee against established objectives, milestones, budget, and resources; and facilitates tracking and closure of issues and risks.- Monitors project progress, manages resources, and manages and mitigates risks and issues.- Coordinates the collection and maintenance of project data for the entire corporation.


People Leadership- Actively contributes to and supports a culture of a high performing workforce.- Promotes empowerment of the team, ensures that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourages a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team.- Participates in divisional succession planning, ensuring ongoing professional and career development, and supports development in others.- Supports a culture of leadership and accountability to effectively deliver on strategic and corporate strategies.- Is actively committed to leadership development across the company, supporting team and workforce readiness through mentoring, training, and developmental opportunities.


Corporate Management- Enables the success of programs and policies that are in alignment with corporate, strategic, and divisional strategies.- Manages risk in area of authority.- Ensures that the Health, Safety, and Emergency Management Policy is applied in area of responsibility.


Education and Experience- Four-year degree from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study, such as Business, Information Technology, or Mathematics and Applied Sciences.- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or a designation from a recognized project management institute.- Five years' experience as a Project Manager, managing multiple projects in a complex, busy, and agile environment with multi-functional teams.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Knowledge of project management practices, approaches, and techniques.- Knowledge of agile and traditional project management principles and practices.- Knowledge of corporate divisions/functions and how they interconnect. Knowledge of software development life cycle models.- Knowledge of the principles and practices of insurance.- Skill in managing and monitoring multiple projects and delivering within defined time constraints.- Skill in facilitating and leading work groups.- Skill in critical thinking and problem-solving.- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, OneNote, Project).

Pay Range:
$83, $111,024.00
