Description

Taber Special Needs Society has been in existence since 1987. The Society provides support to adults with developmental disabilities. We are hiring a temporary full time community disability support worker to cover a position during a leave. The position will be Monday to Friday 9 am to 4 pm. The positions will be in a residential setting supporting a young woman.

Duties included but not limited to assisting her in achieving personal goals, assisting the individual with life skills, personal care and medication administration, and recreation activities and community inclusion.

What you will need in addition to being a fun-loving, team player:

18 years of age or older
A valid class 5 driver's license and a reliable vehicle with proof of $2 million liability insurance
A clean criminal record check with the vulnerable persons sector check
High School Diploma or equivalent
Proficient in verbal and written English

Experience in the disability sector or health sector is an asset, but not necessary as we provide all training necessary.
