What you will do:

Responsibilities:

Take part in data science, advanced analytics, and predictive modeling initiatives with a focus on marketing, customer experience and operations.
Conduct the full Machine Learning life cycle; data wrangling, feature engineering, model development and deployment.
Monitor the impact of deployed models, interpret results and derive learning for model evolution.
Work cross functionally with business partners to find opportunities and propose relevant data science solutions.
Socialize and present results with partners, simplifying complex solutions in a digestible manner.
Research and stay up to date with data science technology and methodologies.
Bring forward new ideas, brainstorm solutions and challenge existing processes with versions enhanced by data science

Qualifications:

Post secondary degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, Physics, or similar quantitative field and/or equivalent experience in a similar data science role developing Machine Learning models 3+ years of experience with relational databases, big data platforms and data lakes (Databricks, Spark, Snowflake, or similar) 1+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure (MS Azure, AWS, GCP)
Experience at all stages of data science; problem definition, data acquisition & wrangling, modelling, feature engineering and deployment.
Demonstrated experience writing complex SQL queries to extract and integrate data from multiple database sources
Proficient in using one or more statistical programming languages (i.e., Python/Pyspark) for data science
Experience with open source libraries like Kubernetes, Tensorflow, PyTorch or similar
Familiarity with all components of the Machine Learning lifecycle and statistical concepts (hypothesis testing, A/B testing or similar)
Experience working with structured and nonstructured data
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills be able to effectively communicate complex results to a business audience not familiar with complex data and analytics.
