What to expect on the job

Reporting to the Supervisor, Deductions, the Deductions Coordinator is responsible for managing all Customer Deductions that are assigned and provide administrative support to the Deductions team.

Accurately process customer deductions and payments according to established policies and procedures focusing on achieving deduction targets
Accurately process valid trade deductions according to contract terms in a timely manner

Identify and actively resolve invalid deductions, leveraging Standard Operating Procedures

Foster and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including the internal sales team, working closely to ensure compliance with customer contracts
Maintain appropriate documentation and backup to support valid deductions & post audits

Must Haves:

Postsecondary diploma or certificate in a businessrelated field of study
12 years of related accounting or deductions experience
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
Exceptional communication skills
Strong detail orientation coupled with process documentation skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
Demonstrated ability to compile required data efficiently and organize accordingly
Ability to identify errors, inaccuracies and promptly resolve in a serviceoriented manner
Team player, willing to help where needed and able to voice improvement opportunities
Experience in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is considered an asset

High Liner Foods is Remote Friendly We offer a Flexible Hybrid Work Model where corporate office employees have the flexibility to choose a minimum of two office days per week, with the option to work wherever they prefer (office or remote) for the remainder of the week.
