Can Art is a commercial leader in the Aluminum Extrusion field, with 3 plants in Ontario, come and join a true industry leader in this exciting manufacturing field.


We need an Assistant Press Operator to start immediately at our Brampton Plant, near Steeles and Finch across the road from Wet N Wild Toronto.

Must be able to work 12 hour continental shifts, 7 shifts every 2 weeks_


Responsibilities:


  • Die management
  • Ensures all necessary tooling is available at the beginning and throughout shift
  • Responsible to load dies into press
  • Responsible to Maintain die change times per press as specified in Production
  • Check finish and dimensions on extrusions at the required frequency

Experience Required:


  • Ability to work 12 hours continental shift schedule.
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Personable with clear communication skills. Both written and verbal English communication required to perform the job successfully.
  • Able to work well with others in a team environment
  • Computer literate.
  • Good attitude required and willing to learn.
  • Good knowledge and record of safety, quality and productivity around the aluminum extrusion press.
  • Previous experience in Aluminum or other metal industry a definite asset.
