Joining us as the Tax Manager, you will become an integral part of the Canfor Southern Pine U.S. Tax Department. Reporting directly to the Director of U.S. Taxation, you will work collaboratively with the team to prepare and review the company's domestic tax filings and reporting.

Responsibilities for the role include:

Preparing and reviewing federal and state corporate/partnership income tax returns
Engaging with company personnel, tax authorities, and thirdparty advisors on compliance, planning, and controversy matters
Reviewing the quarterly U.S. tax provision under IFRS
Reviewing property, sales & use, excise, business license, 1042, and forest products tax returns

To excel in this role, we expect you to have:

CPA License
7+ years of experience in preparing and reviewing consolidated federal and state income tax returns
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a similar field

Ideally, you possess a blend of experience in public accounting and corporate tax departments, a Master's degree in Taxation or a related field, and prior familiarity with OneSource tax software, JD Edwards, and Excel.
