Position Scope


As
Production Supervisor you will lead a team of Plant Operators and Labourers in the safe operation of CE's Innovation Center.

You support the Production Manager in delivering plant operating targets and related process optimization/test activity. You act as the focal point for coordination of daily plant operations, permitting, contractor safety and other site activity. This role is in a dynamic R&D environment, involving regular startups, shutdowns, commissioning and troubleshooting of equipment issues.


_ This position requires a 12-hour shifts following a 4-on / 4-off shift pattern (which includes night and day rotation)._

Health, Safety and Environment

  • Champion, embody and drive a positive safety culture within the Production Team.
  • Be familiar with, and ensure adherence to core HSE policies including, but not limited to:
  • Permit to work
  • Lockout tagout.
  • Contractor work.
  • Line break.
  • Hot work.
  • Confined space entry.
  • Working at height.
  • Personal Protective Equipment requirements.
  • Maintain the plant in a safe condition in line with all applicable regulations.
  • Identify, report and resolve unsafe conditions, processes or actions within the workplace.
  • Ensure that all safety related incidents, accidents and near misses are reported and investigated in line with company policy.
  • Be familiar with the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and associated responsibilities within the plan.
  • Ensure that periodic safety inspections, daily rounds and other safety related requirements are completed in a timely fashion.

Leadership and Management

  • Lead the Production Team in delivering daily plant operations, including:
  • Operating process equipment to achieve daily test/optimization goals.
  • Maintaining a wellorganized site and exceptional housekeeping standards.
  • Coordinating maintenance requirements and scheduling with the Maintenance Planner.
  • Coordinating, permitting and overseeing contractors working on site.
  • Act as the focal point for coordinating daily site operations and allocate/delegate daily tasks to the Production Team.
  • Maintain the Production Teams' shift patterns, vacation scheduling, and minimum staffing levels.
  • Allocate resources, monitor progress against milestones and provide progress reports to management.
  • Conduct or delegate daily workplace inspection and daily rounds of the Plant.
  • Prepare fully for and lead the daily prework operations briefing for stakeholders.
  • Develop and lead detailed and succinct crossover meetings and documents.
  • Foster and maintain a positive culture within the operations shifts; promote effective delegation, a questioning mindset and recognize failure as a learning opportunity.
  • Conduct weekly 1:1 checkins with your direct reports. Provide constructive feedback on performance and development to direct reports and communicate ideas/initiatives/improvements to management.
  • Mentor, support and guide your team in all aspects of plant operations and their ongoing professional development.
  • Identify constraints to achieving plant objectives and define the resources required to overcome these (e.g. new hires, software, equipment).

Technical

  • Operate process equipment and control panels as required.
  • Complete and authorize daily permitting as required; including but not limited to maintenance/contractor work permits, LOTO, confined space entry and hot work.
