JOB SCOPE

As a pilot flying for Pivot Airlines, the DHC-8 Captain is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the aircraft while providing customer service and giving on-time performance due consideration.

The DHC-8 Captain supervises other crew members and has primary responsibility for the flight. The DHC-8 Captain is responsible to the System Chief Pilot.

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Company aircraft;
Ensure all preflight, inflight and postflight duties are completed safely consistent with published Transport Canada regulations and standards as well as Company policies and procedures;
Ensure that all crew members perform their flight duties consistent with published Transport Canada regulations and standards as well as Company policies and procedures; and
Any other responsibilities and duties assigned by the System Chief Pilot

JOB REQUIREMENTS

3000 Hours Total Time;
500 propeller time;
Must hold Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL);
Must hold Transport Canada Category I Medical Certificate;
Able to obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance;
Legally entitled to work in Canada;
Able to operate Company aircraft domestically, transborder and internationally without restriction;
Aviation diploma/degree an asset;
Must be fluent in English language;
Effective communication and problem solving skills;
Strong leadership and teamwork skills;
Flexible and willing to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends;
Ability to lift up to 50lbs;
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling;
Fully vaccinated for COVID19.
