Reporting to the PMO Lead, Project Management Office you will work closely with our clients at all levels from business unit managers to LCBO senior leaders as a trusted advisor, delivering value across the organization.

About the Role

  • You will be responsible for overseeing the project management life cycle for multiple projects which run simultaneously with varying degree of complexity, from initiation through closure, leveraging the discipline of Project Management PMI standards.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
  • Accountable to ensure projects are delivered on budget, within scope and timelines, providing leadership to the project team to meet project goals
  • Cultivate relationships in a matrix organization, and work with key business stakeholders to coordinate the gathering of the requirements and build project scope and plans including an analysis of benefit, cost, work schedule and any related risks
  • Understand and determine critical metrics and success criteria with the impacted functional areas
  • Work with the project team to create and execute detailed project plans and ensure milestones are met effectively
  • Managing of cross team dependencies, including scoping, planning, prioritization, escalation, capacity planning and cross functional alignment
  • Lead a cross functional project team in executing assigned tasks and coordinating effort of internal and external team members, ensuring tasks and deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and repot on projects progress, issues and proposed solutions as it relates to key program initiatives and know how to escalate and resolve complex issues. This includes preparing documentation for upper management to leverage and act on.
  • Mentor and provide coaching to other project team members, coordinate project team meetings
  • Identify the roles of project team members, project reporting structures and frequency of interaction and any training requirements that may be needed for a team member to complete the project
  • Develop Requests for Proposals (RFP), evaluates responses, and lead IT system selection teams
About You

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in a relevant field, or equivalent training and experience
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects using Agile methodologies including 8+ years of experience as a Program/ Project Manager managing medium to large, complex projects in a hightech development environment with multifunction teams.
  • Experience overseeing multifunction project teams with at least 1015 team members including Developers, Business Analysts, and Testing Teams.
  • High level of technical background to provide highlycredible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
  • Ability to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value
  • Experience with SaaS solutions
  • Experience working with ADKAR, change management, Agile methodology
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including ability to work in a multifunctional environment, communicating with all levels of the organization, and ensuring sound vendor management
  • Experience using SharePoint and MS Office (including Word, Excel, Power Point and Project), with extensive experience with MS Project and Project Online.
  • Demonstrable experience leading the implementation and support of information technology projects
  • Strategic leadership skills to build, develop, empower, and supervise multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to build partnerships, and effective working relationships with internal partners, clients and other partners
  • Highly proficient project management skills and attention to detail with the ability to communicate effectively with and influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Accountable and proactive in their delivery approach i.e. builds effective delivery plans, proactively identifies, and manages issues / risks.
