Your Job

The role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve work force productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access.

This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities include planning and coordination of maintenance activities performed at the site, including preventative and routine maintenance as well equipment overhaul/turnaround planning.

What You Will Do

  • Develop quality work plans, using CMMS (SAP), to efficiently perform routine maintenance work. Planning will include detailed scope development, identification and ordering of materials, determining detailed job steps, manpower and skill requirements, work execution scheduling sequence, and specifying precision maintenance details.
  • The maintenance planner will work closely with Reliability Engineering to maximize equipment availability through the creation and archiving of effective maintenance plans.
  • Work with the procurement organization to set up Materials, including both stores stock and nonstock items.
  • Create detailed job plans in both Word and SAP
  • Work in collaboration with Maintenance Technicians and Leadership, Site Operations, other Planners, Coordinators, Contractors and Reliability Resources to effectively execute the routine maintenance work process and improve equipment reliability. Provide troubleshooting support to identify failure modes and develop repair solutions for equipment and systems failures.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Engineering Technician/Technologist or higher level of education or Licensed as an Industrial Electrician or Millwright
  • Three (3) years' experience working in an industrial environment developing equipment repair scopes of work, work estimates, maintenance planning/scheduling and/or maintenance engineering.
  • Experience and knowledge of repair/maintaining best practices on a broad range of equipment with a strong electrical/mechanical aptitude
  • Experience in reviewing blueprints, Piping and Instrument diagrams, construction drawings, etc.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience developing optimum maintenance strategies for manufacturing equipment
  • Experience with SAP or similar CMMS
  • Leadership/supervisory experience
