We are in search of an accomplished Assistant Restaurant Manager who not only shares our commitment to quality and excellence but also understands the importance of a genuinely inviting environment for our cherished guests.
Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Assist in overseeing daytoday restaurant operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and Serving It Right policies.
- Manage inventory, including ordering and monitoring stock levels.
- Supervise and coordinate staff, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of any new operational policies and procedures as well as adherence to current ones.
Customer Service:
- Uphold a high standard of customer service, addressing guest concerns promptly.
- Lead the frontofhouse staff to maintain a welcoming and positive atmosphere.
- Ensure that service standards are consistently met or exceeded.
- Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth service is maintained and any concerns are addressed.
- Report any concerns to Sharon or Chris promptly.
Staff Training and Development:
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of restaurant staff.
- Assist the frontofhouse manager in leading staff meetings to communicate updates and expectations.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
Financial Management:
- Support the implementation of costcontrol measures to maximize profitability.
- Assist in monitoring sales and expenses, identifying areas for improvement.
Event Coordination:
- Collaborate with the frontofhouse manager to plan and execute special events such as wine pairing dinners, Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve.
- Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service staff during events.
Quality Control:
- Oversee the presentation and service of food, and address any concerns. to Chris or Sharon
- Ensure all staff are adhering to our strict policies regarding cleanliness & health & hygiene, and maintaining a clean and organized working environment.
- Address and resolve any issues related to quality or service.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a restaurant supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and restaurant best practices.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and make quick decisions.
- Familiarity with POS systems and various software programs.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant management role.
