You will report to the

Shop Manager:
, and under their guidance, you will:

Assist Motion staff with problem-solving, product selection, sizing, sourcing, and costing.
Quote development, carry out bid review, and obtain costing.
Contact person for the Motion branch to provide product and technical support.
Make joint customer calls with Motion technical service representatives when requested.
Prepare equipment rebuild & product inspection reports.
Coordinate and oversee projects.

Requirements:

Mechanical Engineering principles and practices.
Fluid power principles & practices
Broad understanding of hydraulic cylinders, motors, pumps & valves.
General shop experience, machining & welding.
PC skills, MS Office
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specification
Able to produce/alter drawings using Autodesk products

Skills and Abilities:

Superior analytical ability
Able to work independently and as a team player
Excellent and practical communication skills, including clearly written technical reports that meet customer expectations
Time management skills to manage all department projects to tight deadlines
Able to make knowledgeable decisions with confidence
