- Design instrumentation/electrical systems
- Create electrical and wiring drawings and electrical bills of materials.
- Select and specify electrical and instrumentation components.
- Create electrical cabinet and panel designs including fabrication and assembly.
- Assist in the design and specification of lab-scale and industrial process control systems.
- Wire, cable route and install electrical systems
- Commissioning of electrical system wiring, systems and debugging.
- Create and manage SCADA control code.
- Assist in design reviews.
- Assist in DFMEAs.
- Manage electrical components and inventory.
- Build and assemble electrical sub-systems.
- Technologist diploma or electrical engineering degree
- 5+ years of experience in electrical design
- Electrical system installation experience
- 2D or 3D CAD experience (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electric or Plant 3D)
- Selection and specification experience for industrial automation components
- Software/hardware experience for control systems such as PLC, DCS or HMI
