JOB SUMMARY:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare food to order to the highest quality standards.
- Inventory control and food ordering to ensure food costs targets are achieved and wastage is minimized.
- Develop creative daily specials.
- Ensure the kitchen facility is organized, clean, sanitary and in good working order.
- Maintain and arrange service for all kitchen equipment.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
- Be a team player, assisting in the Front of the House when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Past culinary work experience in a fullservice establishment.
- Passionate about culinary trends and best practices.
- Ability to work both independently and effectively with a team.
- Previous success in meeting food cost targets.
- Previous experience in food and beverage front of house operations is an asset.
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
- Capable of delegating multiple tasks.
- Communication and leadership skills.
Required licenses, certificates, and registrations:
- Post secondary education in Culinary Arts is preferred; Red Seal is an asset
- Food safe certification
- First aid certification is an asset.
- Valid WHIS certificate is required.
