Role Overview


Reporting to the General Manager, the Human Resources Manager directs the people related aspects of the manufacturing facility and its supporting departments and locations.

The Human Resources Manager is required to balance operational excellence, process and policy quality, responsiveness, stakeholder customer service and other people & safety initiatives in a safe and collaborative working environment.

The Human Resources Manager provides the leadership, management, and vision necessary to coordinate the efforts and maximize the output of the health & safety, human resources, training, and payroll team.


The Human Resources Manager consistently strives for continuous improvement and to effectively grow the organization towards elevating its people-focused projects.

This leader embraces a safety-conscious and people-first attitude towards leadership.

This position involves planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the Human Resources Department.

The Human Resources Manager will be directly responsible for developing and delivering strategic short-term and long-term goals and deliverables of the department.


This position will maintain and improve current management and executive reporting through analytics and metrics to track business performance and will work alongside other leaders in the company to aid them in managing their areas of responsibility.


The HR Manager is an integral part of the Leadership Team who supports HR practices that provide an employee oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and ongoing development of an engaged and talented workforce.


The Human Resource Manager will lead a team and oversee and/or actively participate in the routine duties of the HR, health & safety, training, and payroll functions.


Success Factors

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required.
  • CPHR designation or equivalent comparable experience & education required.
  • 5+ years managing one or more human resources function(s) at a supervisory or managerial level is required.
  • 5+ years related work experience in a human resources function in a midsenior level role required. Concurrent experience in a management and midsenior level role is acceptable.
  • Knowledge of provincial labor codes, employment law and progressive HR policies and practices required.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and motivate a team is required.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Valid passport & ability to travel, nationally and internationally, is required.
