Applications are invited from teachers with

BC Certification for the following teaching position:

North Island Secondary School, Port McNeill, BC
1.0 FTE Continuing - French 8-12, Social Studies 10-11,

and Science 10

Commencing:
SEPTEMBER 1, 2023

- completion of a Bachelor of Education;
- certification by or eligible to become BC certified by the BC Teacher Certification

Branch;
- academic training, qualifications and recent successful experience teaching

secondary level French, Social Studies, and Science;
- strong classroom management skills;
- the ability and energy to work with multi-age groups and meet the needs of students

with a range of learning styles and abilities using a variety of teaching strategies;
- the ability and desire to work closely with staff in a team-oriented approach to teaching

and learning;
- strong interest in innovation and inquiry; and
- ability to embed local Indigenous culture and ways of knowing into teaching practices.
