THE ROLE


The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for guiding and controlling warehouse functions, including overseeing receiving, distribution, and storage of all food and beverage products within the facility.

The Assistant Warehouse Manager plays an integral role in inventory management and cost-control.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage pre-event preparation and set-up process while adhering to established event time schedules. Delegate work to Supervisors and lead staff as necessary.
  • Provide supervision and consistent presence during events; observing event operations and monitoring service delivery; proactively addressing issues and gaps in service.
  • Collaborate with functional departments to order food products for service, responding to requests for special orders.
  • Ensure an aesthetically appealing event with wellmaintained equipment, service stands, appliances, and oversized props.
  • Manage a smooth event breakdown process.
  • Ensure commissary and warehouse staff are welltrained in service, safety, and Legends Hospitality's policies/procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with employee break and meal periods.
  • Communicate with internal departments. Attend and lead meetings as appropriate.
  • Promote good employee relations; engaging in effective labor relations practices, proactively handling labor relations issues, etc.
  • Identify and rectify hazardous situations to eliminate risk to the organization and operation. Take safety precautions as necessary.
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with Legends Hospitality's policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as applicable government, regulatory, and/or accrediting agency standards and codes.
  • All other duties as assigned by Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Grade 12 education and 1year related work experience.
  • Good working knowledge of English (Written and Verbal)
  • Smart Serve Certification.
  • Emotionally mature, respectful and sincere.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Understanding of all policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and specifications.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Enjoy talking to others and providing a high level of guest service.
  • Team Player.
  • Must be available to work, evenings, weekends, and holidays
