Role:


To ensure that product is handled and kept in compliance with all internal policies, GMP and local and Federal Food Regulations (CFIA / HACCP).


Responsibilities:


  • Preop QC checks.
  • Check Trailers in yard for fuel status and temperatures.
  • Prepare paperwork and loads for all our shipments to our customers (internal and external).
  • Receive Fresh from Sunrise
  • Approx. 8 to 10 fresh loads per day.
  • Printing Pick slips for AM order pickers.
  • Receive Turkey Loads 3 Per week.
  • Grind Room (Beef Transfer)
- pick, load into trailer or tempering room.

  • Monitor Chep to ensure we have enough for production.
  • Juggling of trailers to and from the doors.
  • Fill out all receiving and shipping paperwork / QC required documents
  • Book appointments for customers.
  • Arrange any couriers.
  • Pick Frozen orders.
  • Receive fresh and frozen product.
  • Palletize all incoming product with lot numbers/production dates.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.
  • Move finish product from the order picking area to free up space for the order pickers.
  • Load trailers approximately 8 per night.
  • Frozen Inventory Count 1 x per month.
  • Receive Boxes, trays and Chep Trailers.
  • Keep supplies topped up.
  • Receive labels, film, other miscellaneous supplies.
  • Daily inventory count of boxes and trays.
  • Order Pick when short Order Pickers.
  • Change batteries on Power equipment.
  • Power equipment checks daily.

Requirements:


  • Possess a high school diploma preferred.
  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Power jack operators certificate is an asset.
  • Ability to do power equipment "pretrip".
  • Have basic reading, writing and mathematic skills.
  • Able to read, write and comprehend English.
  • Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with customers, employees and supervisors.
  • High level of manual dexterity required for operating equipment.
  • Selfstarter with strong organization skills and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg when required.

Working Conditions:


  • Flexible work schedule from time to time.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Exposure to wet/cold conditions potential for ice and slippery working conditions.
  • Exposure to excessive noise.
  • Physically demanding required long periods of walking/standing.
  • Required to do heavy lifting throughout the day.
  • Hairnet, clean smock, hearing protection, liner gloves and rubber gloves will be provided by the Company.
  • Steeltoe footwear to be supplied by employee.
  • Warm clothing required.
