OVERVIEW


Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Social Media Manager is responsible for creating, managing and executing digital marketing campaigns on social platforms for our clients as well as our own brand.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Own social media marketing campaigns and performance expected for our agency's clients from plan to production including: brief development, ideation, channel recommendations, creative development, planning, implementation and management
  • Own and manage our agency's social media presence and online reputation
  • Manage review solicitation and reputation management services that come within the overall Social Media department
  • Supervise the social media team of one direct report in Canada and three/four remote resources
  • Lead client and prospect meetings relevant to social media services provided by the agency
  • Plan, develop, present and deliver social media strategies and reputation management strategies for clients
  • Monitor and report social media performance metrics for our clients
  • Manage the tactical execution of social media campaigns.
  • Manage work distribution across the team and control the quality of deliverables
  • Build, manage and improve standard operating procedure documents
  • Make process improvements as and where needed
  • Work with project managers during the initial client setup phase
  • Assist account managers with resolving client queries and identifying opportunities to grow the client's social media presence
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices within social media

Need to have skills:


  • Minimum 2+ years of work experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage over 25 small and medium social media clients
  • Relevant certifications/ accreditations within Social Media such as Hubspot's Social Media Marketing Course or the Social Media Marketing Professional Certificate by Meta
OR
the willingness to get appropriately certified

  • Experience using work / project management tools
  • Experience using social media production and management tools such as HeyOrca, GatherUp, HootSuite, etc.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary remote teams to execute on social media campaigns
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage tasks and deliverables in an agile and high paced work environment
  • Proficient with video content creation and editing skills relevant to social media
  • Ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to the analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound
  • Indepth knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook/Meta, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.), their impact on different client profiles and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a distributed environment and be a strong team player guiding and leading peers as and when necessary within the areas of content development, and online reputation management
  • Proficient with the latest social media tools and technologies including a strong understanding of how to leverage ai and ChatGPT for social media
  • Has strong conflict resolution and problem solving skills
  • Can look at the big picture and think strategically and at the same time, get into the weeds and fix issues or create social media content as needed

Good to have skills:


  • Experience managing a content team and/or delivering content services beyond social media would be a huge plus
