    This role is for EllisDon Industrial (an EllisDon Company).

    You as a Project Coordinator will:

    The coordinator is the Project Managers full time representative on the project and is responsible for quality control and assurance, material management, and ensuring compliance to the contract quality plan by supporting the Superintendent and Project Manager by working alongside these representatives on a daily basis and liaising with the client field representatives.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Set up and maintenance of the project administration. Complete daily construction activity reports. Verify cost code allocation of craft, equipment & subcontractor hours.
  • Procurement and assistance in costing/estimating.
  • Update and maintain the project schedule.
  • Plan and coordinate all on-site civil, mechanical and electrical activities to comply with specifications, codes, and inspections.
  • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in updating and achieving schedule requirements for civil, mechanical, and electrical RFI's, shop drawings and administrate mechanical/electrical project completion requirements.
  • Address all design and construction issues for clarification and guidance in adherence to project specifications and drawings.
  • Co-ordinate the on-site activities of subcontractors.
  • Ensure that all materials have been ordered and scheduled for delivery - either by Owner, the Contractor, or by the Subcontractor's purchasing department.
  • Prepare purchase orders from the drawing material list and ensure all vendors are informed of material specifications, standards, and classifications.
  • Liaise between Owner Representatives in the approval process for acceptance of alternate products.
  • Rectify any issues with the supply, delivery, packaging, handling, tracking, and performance of construction products and material used to complete contract and additional work scopes.
  • Inspect materials and test all applicable work in accordance with contractual requirements, construction and material specifications as agreed to in the ITP.
  • Administrate document control requirements pertaining to construction materials, equipment, and performed work.
  • Is this the right role for you?

  • Civil, Mechanical or Construction Engineering diploma or degree with 2 years of experience.
  • Strong background or understanding in heavy civil earthworks, road building, underground utilities, and mechanical pipeline systems.
  • You have a construction related degree/diploma and three to five years of civil and mechanical construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
  • You enjoy working in a collaborative site team environment with the goal of delivering successful projects.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Team player and excellent people skills.
