Service and Installation Technician - Mississauga, Canada - Strongbar Industries

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing repairs and service on detention locks and hardware, including sliding door and gate operators
• Installation of commercial and detention doors, frames and hardware
• Installation of glazing into steel doors, frames and windows
• Pick up and delivery of materials
• Supervision of subcontracted installers and service technicians
• Planning and scheduling of site work
• Communication with Project Managers, Vendors and Customers
• Working collaboratively with all team members
• Providing exceptional customer service
• Participation in IHSA COR Health and Safety Program

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of experience servicing and installing commercial doors
• Experience installing detention doors will be considered an asset
• Certified welder
• Experience with installation of door hardware, including mortise locks and door closers
• Experience with lowvoltage wiring will be considered an asset
• Police background check required
• Additional municipal, federal and provincial background checks will be required to work on specific projects, including Gov't of Canada Level II Secret Status (Level III Top Secret may be required)
• Valid Ontario driver's license with clean driving record

Additional skills:

• Amazing ability to communicate in English (French an asset) spoken and written
• Computer skills can figure out how to use almost any software
• Able to perform basic design in AutoCAD
• Detailoriented with excellent problemsolving skills
• Ability to multitask, plan and manage time on multiple projects
• Able to lift 75 lbs.
• Able to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings
• Trained in WHMIS, Worker Health and Safety Awareness, Working at Heights, etc.

$40,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
