Summary:
Reporting to the Group Sales Manager - Front-End & Receiving, a Merchandise Claims Processing Outfitter is responsible for accurately and effectively processing merchandise returns, defected goods, or otherwise the flow of stock and merchandise between the receiving warehouse, the manufacturer and to the sales floor.
Responsibilities:
- Receives and prepares merchandise for entry into retail or warehouse stock and processes returns, defected goods, or otherwise the flow of stock and merchandise between the receiving warehouse, the manufacturer and to the sales floor
- Accurate and consistent in reporting inventory metrics to leadership
- Accurately stocks merchandise to the sales floor in the proper home locations following fill procedures
- Perform replenishment tasks, as needed, across departments including filling, folding, repackaging, sorting, facing, hanging, and locating items
- Provide legendary customer service every time by assisting customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating customers' needs, and making product recommendations based off this analysis
- Promote Cabela's programs, including Voice of the Customer (VOC) and In-Store Pick-Up
- Assure visual presentation standards are met by upkeep and maintenance including, but not limited to, instore signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed
- Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies that relate to the outdoor lifestyle
- Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
Qualifications:
- At least one year of retail experience in warehouse/inventory management
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Ability to evaluate customers' needs and make recommendations based on needs
- Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer's expectations
- Ability to use good judgment and logic
- Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle
- Knowledge of Cabela's specific products is an asset
- Intermediate knowledge of usage of common computer software
