POSITION:

The Service Manager is responsible for ensuring the success of all aspects of the Service operations of the dealership.

The position is responsible for management of staff, Service Advisor processes, training, and achievement of sales target forecasts.

• Full understanding of regulations, laws and required compliance in the Automotive Industry including OEM warranty policies and procedures(can also been trained on the OEM Side however needs to have good knowledge of warranty)

Primary Responsibilities

• Work with the General Manager on the development of operational strategies
• Recruitment of new employees
• Positively direct, coach, mentor, motivate, develop and support a successful Service Team
• Develop and deliver training programs and schedules for Service Advisors and Technicians; maintenance of apprenticeship programs
• Coordinate activities with Parts Managers to ensure they are aligned with operational strategies, regular communication of OEM bulletins to ensure parts levels meet customer expectations
• Monitor and promote effective sales processes with Service Advisors, and create enthusiasm to produce exceptional sales performance and growth
• Oversee a strategy to continuously engage customers, provide outstanding customer experiences and drive referral and repeat business
• Develop sales objectives/forecasts for individual Service Advisor performance; monitor and assess progress with ELR, Hours per RO, and Number of appointments
• With direction from the General Manager, create, review and manage departmental budgets for expenses;
• Mentor and train Service Advisors for exceptional understanding of Service maintenance intervals to optimize appointment bookings
• Ensure the Team follows all current company policies, processes and procedures;
• Comply with any WorkSafe requirements, and safety protocols;
• Support of all other dealership operations including Parts, Sales and Accounting to promote cooperation and a Team environment;
• Undertake all other tasks that may be delegated to you by the General Manager
