Summary


Reporting to the General Manager, the Production Supervisor is accountable for daily production at the facility through organization, direction, coordination and effective deployment of resources to meet production targets and quality standards.

Responsibilities will include the general allocation of production activities and responsibilities on the production floor as well as day to day reallocation to address production priorities.

Responsibilities also include providing direction, training of staff in production methods, safety, policies and procedures, as well as the identification and correction of potential work problems and health and safety issues.


JOB DUTIES

  • Work in concert with General Manager to execute daily production schedules

Shift work:
Schedule rotates: Days 8-4pm, afternoons 4-12pm, nights 12pm-8am


  • Plant is open Monday to Friday 24 hrs. Saturday shuts down at 8:00 am restart on Monday am.
  • Supervise 5-13 employees
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the shop floor
  • Ensure that tickets (work orders) are completed in a timely fashion
  • Maintain a safe, clean and legally compliant workplace
  • Health and Safety compliance
  • Maintain product quality
  • Address concerns and resolve problems
  • Training
  • Initiate disciplinary measures in accordance with company policy.
  • Prepare production and other reports

The primary physical requirement of this "hands on" role is walking.

This role is accountable for the health and safety of the production team and must ensure that all standards are followed, including wearing protective equipment.

Essential Skill Requirements:
