Position:
Part-Time Heavy Equipment Instructor (On-Call)

Key Responsibilities:


  • Deliver handson training on a variety of heavy equipment, including backhoes, excavators, motor graders, loaders, dozers, and tandem truck snowplows.
  • Conduct engaging classroom sessions using interactive PowerPoint presentations.
  • Provide practical, inseat training to Municipal Public Works and airport maintenance staff.
  • Maintain accurate training records and summaries for each student.

Qualifications:


  • Valid DZ License in Ontario.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience operating the listed heavy equipment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Word and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel and be away from home up to 12 nights per month.
  • Previous instructional experience with heavy equipment operators is a plus.
  • Experience with airport runway maintenance is desirable but not required.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal reference check.
