Financial Analyst also known internally as our Estimator.

This is a permanent full time hybrid position with time split between home and our Edmonton Head Office. Hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm flexible dependent on business needs.

What your day to day will look like:

Reporting directly into the CFO scoping appropriate bids for both recurring and new client RFP's.

Bid Pricing; Review all bid documents, create pricing strategy and bid pricing framework, investigate activity cost factors and critical success factors for accurate bidding, highlight bid methodology for Management review.

Bid Evaluation; conduct a post mortem bid evaluation, maintain all documentation in analytics database and monitor model trends for insights in bidding and current win/ loss margins.

Ad Hoc Pricing; Analyze and estimate pricing changes on existing locations and adhoc services.

Support Team; Assist Controller and others in the department as needed occasionally includes AR, AP and process improvement initiatives.


What you'll need to succeed:


  • Must have minimum 35 years in an analysis/ financial modeling role
  • Advanced MS Excel skills specifically to create and edit complex formulas
  • Must have strong knowledge of general financial accounting and analysis framework
  • Post Secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field would be an asset
  • Must have strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and the ability to problem solve
  • Tech savvy know your way around computers and be able to pick up new programs quickly
  • Ability to adapt communication style acting as main liaison between multiple departments both internal and external
  • This is a very autonomous role you will have team and company support but will work independently so must be able to self manage and have strong time management skills

  • 20 minute preliminary phone interview with our Recruiter
minute assessment (depending on optional practice questions or breaks)

  • 1 hour in person interview with the Hiring Manager and direct Supervisor for the role at our Edmonton head office
