Main responsibilities:
The main responsibility of the equity analyst is to produce valuation models and make forecasts resulting in substantial portfolio investments.
- Analysis of products and services provided by companies
- Conduct research and analysis on industry issues and monitor market trends
- Maintain research documentation
- Prepare sector and company reviews
- Contribute to portfolio performance analysis
- Participate in the quarterly financial, operational and competitive review of the portfolio's investments under his/her responsibility
- Meet with the management of publicly traded companies and visits of their operations.
- Participates to industry conferences and investor days
- Contribute to the definition, planning and execution of the investment strategy.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, in business administration (in finance, economics or business) or other pertinent area.
- MBA or M. Sc. in finances or other pertinent area (an asset)
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of pertinent experience (required)
- Relevant work experience and knowledge of the telecom and media industry would be an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ease in learning new IT tools
- Excellent knowledge of English both written and oral.
- This position will appeal to individuals who are thoughtful, creative, have strong analytical skills and a keen interest in capital markets.
- Selfmotivation and the ability to work independently are required.
- Good communication skills
- Current work model: Hybrid mode: 3 days in the office and 2 days teleworking
