Main responsibilities:


The main responsibility of the equity analyst is to produce valuation models and make forecasts resulting in substantial portfolio investments.


  • Analysis of products and services provided by companies
  • Conduct research and analysis on industry issues and monitor market trends
  • Maintain research documentation
  • Prepare sector and company reviews
  • Contribute to portfolio performance analysis
  • Participate in the quarterly financial, operational and competitive review of the portfolio's investments under his/her responsibility
  • Meet with the management of publicly traded companies and visits of their operations.
  • Participates to industry conferences and investor days
  • Contribute to the definition, planning and execution of the investment strategy.

Required qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree, in business administration (in finance, economics or business) or other pertinent area.
  • MBA or M. Sc. in finances or other pertinent area (an asset)
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of pertinent experience (required)
  • Relevant work experience and knowledge of the telecom and media industry would be an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ease in learning new IT tools
  • Excellent knowledge of English both written and oral.
The incumbent must be able to collaborate with colleagues located in the various Canadian offices (Montreal, Toronto et Calgary). The incumbent will also meet with the management of publicly traded companies and visits of their operations.

  • This position will appeal to individuals who are thoughtful, creative, have strong analytical skills and a keen interest in capital markets.
  • Selfmotivation and the ability to work independently are required.
  • Good communication skills
  • Current work model: Hybrid mode: 3 days in the office and 2 days teleworking
