    APPLICATION DEADLINE: APRIL 24, 2024 What is the opportunity? In this role you will be responsible for data analysis activities on the data transformation program. You will be responsible for:
  • Executing on all aspects of data analysis including planning, requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and post implementation verification.
  • Performing comprehensive data analysis to identify, measure and report on data quality issues.
  • Applying data management best practices to further enhance and solidify the data ecosystem in RBC Caribbean
  • What will you do?
  • Lead the creation and review of user stories for our data remediation projects
  • Lead detailed requirement phases: identifying, tracking, escalating and/or resolving requirements issues
  • Lead the data analysis (retrieve, process, and analyze large amounts of data) and documentation of sponsor/stakeholder needs – data profiling to support the discussion with the stakeholders
  • Analyze and interpret data to find patterns or trend in data to allow project team to assess data quality root causes
  • Define data mappings, create ETL data integration and data transformation rules
  • Setup data quality monitoring rules and score cards to measure and report on data quality
  • Oversee and coordinate between various RBCC teams to investigate, design remediation plans, remediate and monitor progress for data issues
  • Provide advisory services to business partners to on how to best utilize our data ecosystem; in this way your Subject Matter Advisor services will help protect and defend RBC's data assets, improve efficiencies and create business value
  • Build up data management practices at RBCC, working on strategic projects with functional partners including but not limited to the Chief Data Office (CDO), Data Management Office (DMO), Risk, Privacy, and Legal
  • Develop test plans and execute testing including leading the systems and acceptance testing by facilitating participation of appropriate staff in project completion
  • What do you need to succeed? Must-have
  • University degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
  • Experience working in Agile (preferred) and Iterative Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience working with Big Data and Big Data tools/solutions such as Python, Scala, Apache Spark, Hadoop, Hive, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL
  • Experience working in Visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Experience in Data Quality tools such as Information Analyzer
  • Excellent analytical/critical thinking capability and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Knowledge of and experience with Regulatory, Legislative and Data Privacy policies
  • Experience in the development of Test Plan and Test Cases for the purpose of validating business scenarios due to system changes
  • Experience with transformation and change management
