Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Toronto, ON site is looking for a new Pricing Specialist to join our Project Logistics team.

Your Role :
As the Pricing Specialist, you will report to the Project Logistics Manager. The primary focus of your role will be to coordinate prices with shipping, air lines and truckers.

You will transform these prices to make sure they are beneficial to the clients while also having a profit margin for the team.

Your Responsibilities:

Crosstrain in all functions of the pricing team by mode of transport and cargo type
Ensure that all costing for services are as per the service level agreement and scope of work ordered
Responsible for having a strong sense of financial acumen for Project Logistics
Communicating clear scope of services requested to service providers when requesting pricing and options
Ensure selecting the best service option maximizing profitability while delivering the clients expectations
Ensure the utilization of minimum selling margin while providing pricing
Request followup information to the client on all pricing
Ensure that quotes are logged and recorded accurately and timely
Support the manager in procurement sourcing initiatives
Prepare quotes as per requested timelines and in line with Kuehne+Nagel standards

Your Skills and Experiences:

Diploma level in business or trade and transport related courses
3+ years experience in freight forwarding industry
3+ years experience in pricing and quotations
Proficient in the handling and operation of cargo in various modes of transport (ocean / air / overland) is preferred
Excel knowledge intermediate level as minimum
