Job Summary

Blessed Generations Academy is looking to hire qualified staff who are interested in working in Christian Daycare center and who are passionate about providing high-quality, Christian-based Early Childhood Education.

Available positions for Westwood, Coquitlam location

Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

Qualifications

Valid certification from the BC ECE Registry ( ECE certification)
Current First Aid Certificate
Negative Criminal Records check
3 References
At least 1 years of working with children
Friendly and approachable demeanor
Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times

Duties & Responsibilities

Plan, prepare and implement childcare curriculum that is reflective of BGA's Christian values and compliant with Provincial requirements
Evaluate individual and group needs of children in a group childcare setting to ensure programming is meeting each child's physical, emotional, and educational needs
Ensure that program standards are met and safety procedures are followed in accordance with Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws, regulations, and licensing requirements at all times
Create a safe and encouraging learning environment for children to develop positive selfconcepts and support individuality, independence, and creative expression
Attend to children's physical needs for toileting, eating, dressing, and learning
Establish effective and cooperative teamwork and communication
Maintain positive and supportive relationships with parentclients
Organize the space, equipment, and materials before and after activities

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Work is generally performed in both classroom and outdoor settings, with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule due to the unpredictability of young children.

Frequent walking, standing, lifting, stooping, and carrying of equipment and materials may be required. May be required to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Applicants must be able to handle the stress, tension, and exasperation that contact with many children and parents brings every day.
