The Agency Sales department is seeking a highly motivated person who enjoys challenging work, and who is looking for experience in the Global Sales Branch.


Lead, manage and coordinate all activities related to the development and implementation of incentive commission programs for North American travel distributors; to direct district and national incentive activities with key accounts; and to provide support to the Director Agency Sales Programs North America and Systems, in the development of the strategic approach to commissions and incentives.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement overall direction of base and incentive commission strategies for Canadian and US based agencies to increase market competitiveness and increase AC's share of agency business
  • Design and launch new incentive commission programs, and other value added programs in support of corporate revenue and expense goals
  • Conduct financial analysis and cost projections for each program initiative. Develop regular performance and post audit reporting to evaluate success of each program. Recommend program customization/changes by channel as required
  • Develop and maintain tracking of automated and manual payments and payment status. Provide commercial justification for contract commission expenditures
  • Support the accrual, outlook and budget process as requested by Finance
  • Develop business acquisition strategies, costing, tactical offers and contracts associated to Multinational, Leisure and Passenger Sales for point of sale North America. Initiate corrective action to ensure success against targets
  • Lead district negotiations with agency partners including performance targets, payments schedules, drafting of contract, terms and conditions, determination of reporting and audit processes
  • Develop and implement tools and models required to evaluate effectiveness of agency programs and initiatives
  • Design and distribute performance reports for internal and external use
  • Provide support to the Air Canada sales channels on all agency issues as relates to the incentive programs, revenue reporting, policies/procedures
  • Communicate business initiatives, policies and procedures
  • Lead the evaluation, design and implementation of Joint Venture (A++) incentive and reward programs for POS Canada and support POS USA evaluation and design as required
  • Manage the relationship with STAR participating carriers in terms of contract development support, program participation, training and education
  • Coach and develop abilities of managed staff (if applicable)

Qualifications

  • University degree in related field
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience at a senior level in airline commercial sales or marketing
  • Ability to conceptualize and implement profitable business oriented solutions
  • Possess a global market knowledge/perspective and a strategic approach to business
  • Demonstrated leadership/coaching skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
