Your role
- Are you incredibly organized with an eye for detail? You will have the opportunity to touch the different aspects of Canadian and US taxes which will provide you with a holistic view of the entire tax process.
- You will:
- review and process client tax reporting documents
management- ensure that the document records correspond with
data in the system- offer expertise and support to Client Advisors when
carrying out client tax reporting activities such as:
- monthly reconciliation and review of Canadian
withholding taxes in accordance with defined pay
- dates- monthly reconciliation of client tax records on tax
database to processing system- year-end tax process to finalize tax records,
produce and mail various tax slips and Canadian
- version of Tax Reports to clients- support new cost basis requirements including
research and reporting- respond to client requests in standard and non
- standard situations- provide tax services on a medium to high complexity
level
Your team
- You will be working within our Toronto Operations team, reporting into the Regional Client Tax Specialist team. A great opportunity to be part of a global organization with exposure to endtoend tax process in the Wealth Management business along with a chance to partner with our Corporate Actions team and gain an understanding of how cross border taxes are administered.

Your expertise
- 3+ years of tax reporting experience within the
- experience in Canadian Tax and US Tax
- knowledge and experience with Registered
Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) and Registered
- detail oriented along with demonstrated
organizational, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills
- have a collaborative attitude along with a curious
mindset to ask questions and resolve issues as they
arise
- able to work independently
- experience with Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act
(FATCA) and The Automatic Exchange of Information
(AEI) is preferred
- proficient in the English and French languages is
preferred
