Edmonton Academy is currently seeking a professional teacher with a teaching degree and experience as an elementary teacher for the school year.

This position requires that the individual has the competencies and confidence to teach all elementary curriculum courses.


Edmonton Academy is an Alberta Education designated independent school that provides a high standard of specialized teaching to meet the needs of our students.

All our students from grades 3-12 require teachers with energy, enthusiasm and patience when teaching and supporting their learning.

Each teacher is expected to use multimodalities for instructing our students and must be able to differentiate their teaching and the learning expectations as needed.

This individualized approach allows our students to achieve success in learning, despite their specific learning disabilities.

All our teachers must be prepared to offer a range of evidence-based accommodations and specialized strategies within the course and curriculum area they teach.

We recognize that overall student success involves meeting our student's academic, social, and emotional needs while working to build their independence and resilience as a learner.

Experience and confidence in using various technology such as setting up and using google classroom, planning google meets, using a document camera, etc.

Salary:
$ $84 266 per year as per grid experience and education placement
