Riverbend Co-op is looking for a Fresh Department Operator to join our team at our Davidson food store location.

We are seeking a self-motivated, ambitious, and energetic individual who will be involved in all aspects of the fresh departments including: recruitment, training and development and performance management, procurement of product, rotation of goods and inventory.

What you'll do:

• Demonstrate day to day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen our Coop's vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety.
• Provide prompt, personalized, legendary service to all our members and guests both instore and over the phone.
• Ensure that all members and guests are completely satisfied with their instore experience.
• Proactively recruiting highquality employees and lead orientation practices and ensure the administration of human resources policies to develop positive relationships with all employees.
• Actively change marketing efforts, adhere to advertising standards, and contribute input to business unit strategies and goals.
• Help develop quality team training and succession plans.
• Support the team leaders annual operating budget for the Davidson Food Store fresh departments that supports the corporate goals.
• Provide direction and oversight to the fresh department teams through coaching, mentoring and performance management.
• Grow current customer base, through implementing new programs, and overall customer experience.
• Assist in projects outlined within the Business Unit Strategy
• Lead a culture of safety through the adherence to company standards for health & safety, loss prevention and environmental due diligence.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Customer Service and:

• Possess 3-5 years of experience in management in a retail environment, including supervisory experience.
• Retail experience in the areas of member relations, selling, OHS, ordering, receiving, and asset maintenance and management.
• A clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, and procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization.
• High level of integrity and accountability
• Sound analytical thinking, planning, priorities, and execution skills
• A welldefined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays where necessary.
• Ability to fulfil physical job requirements including manual labour.
• Experience in retail sales especially in the CRS will be considered an asset
• Strong leadership skills that align with Riverbend's values of Integrity, Community, Responsibility and Service.
• Ability to foster a culture focused on safety, innovation, and teamwork
