Overview

We are seeking a Digital Associate to work on some of our biggest political digital programs. In this role, you'll support clients such as Sherrod Brown, Haley Stevens, Deb Haaland, and party committees while playing an important role in helping Democrats win governorships and retake our majorities in the U.S. House and Senate. You will join a collaborative team in developing and executing on digital marketing, fundraising, and communications strategies. This is a temporary, salaried and benefits‑eligible position for a limited period ending no later than November 6, 2026. Potential for extension of contract or offer of continued employment following the end date of said contract is not guaranteed, however may be discussed as the end date approaches. Extension of contract or offer of continued employment is contingent upon business need.

Responsibilities

• Achieving clients' fundraising and engagement goals;
• Using internal tools to create and deploy engagement and fundraising email campaigns;
• Managing communication processes and deadlines with clients and internal teams while providing top‑quality customer service to clients;
• Coding and sending mission‑critical emails that raise money and promote social change;
• Researching and developing online fundraising and communications strategies, including talking points, guidance for writers and graphic designers, and management of communications calendars;
• Working with client teams, including technology and creative, to assist in managing resources and project timelines;
• Building digital user journeys that raise awareness and bring about change for pressing social, environmental, and political issues; and
• Paying close attention to detail and ensuring strong quality and great user experiences for our clients' audiences.

Must‑have qualifications

• Passion for good causes, whether candidates or other;
• One to three years of experience, including past internships and part‑time work;
• Excellent quantitative reasoning skills and ability to apply data to strategic decisions;
• Strong writing and editing skills;
• Ability to juggle and multitask on multiple projects in a deadline‑driven environment;
• Willingness to take initiative and learn new tools and the ability to be resourceful in resolving issues;
• Experience working with Excel or other spreadsheet or data‑processing software; and
• Ability to collaborate on a team, both internally and externally.

Nice‑to‑have qualifications

• Experience setting up digital user experience tests, e.g. email A/B tests;
• Experience building and sending emails in a mass‑emailing system, e.g. EveryAction/NGP, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or other platforms;
• Experience coding in HTML and CSS as it pertains to either email or web;
• Experience with a political campaign, nonprofit or interactive marketing company is particularly appreciated but not required.

Salary

Salary for this role is $57,000 per year. This is a temporary, salaried and benefits‑eligible position for a limited period ending no later than November 6, 2026.

Location

We are currently working remotely with no return to office date. Applicants may reside in the following states: AZ, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MA, ME, MD, MI, MN, MO, NE, NC, NJ, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, and VA. Due to FL legislation, MissionWired is required to participate in e‑verify.
