Department Overview

  • The Enterprise Delivery Practice is part of the Delivery & Operations (D&O) group that supports Platforms & Technology (P&T) with expertise, insights, business services, and colleague experiences to achieve the P&T strategy and deliver outcomes for customers and colleagues. Our team structure is organized for effective and efficient delivery of our services.
  • With approximately 1000 colleagues across multiple locations, the D&O team supports P&T strategy, business operations, performance, and resource management, while also advancing delivery, agile, and change management practices
  • The main function of the Business Analysis Specialist is to plan, manage, lead and oversee the endtoend delivery of business requirements and solution/system requirements throughout the lifecycle of the project in alignment with the business and/or enterprise needs and strategies. The Business Analysis Specialist will primarily be responsible for delivering requirements and effective business solutions which support project benefits. They provide leadership and work collaboratively with the stakeholders including business Subject Matter Experts, technology delivery teams (design, development, and testing), and finance partners to support project benefits and changes to business processes, polices and systems across a single or multiple Lines of Business in the Information Security, Cyber Fusion, and Fraud LOBs within TD Bank.

Job Requirements / Responsibilities:


  • Own the facilitation and endtoend delivery of business requirements following a structured approach to determine how requirements are constructed, traced and prioritized to maximize business value.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and support in defining the business needs, business benefits, or problem/opportunity statements based on strategic drivers and identifying potential solutions.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the Business Case by collaborating with stakeholders defining project benefits measures and effort estimates to achieve benefit results/objectives.
  • Ensure traceability of requirements to the business solution and benefits realization throughout project.
  • Define and manage the project requirements efforts, including developing requirements phase costs and timelines.
  • Ability to work on both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Ability to develop detailed System Requirements (UML Use Cases, system/technical requirements, Non-Functional Requirements, integration requirements, data mapping)
  • Proactively identify and track requirements risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, constraints and anticipate & effectively manage risks related to requirements.
  • Collaborate with technology partners and provide recommendations to support development of system requirements and design, testing plans, artifacts/deliverables to ensure business needs are met.
  • Identify risks or issues with the prioritization of requirements and the technology design/ solution which may impact realization of project benefits and provide recommendations and support to stakeholders in making decisions to proactively resolve or mitigate potential risks/delays to the project.
  • Support the Request for Information (RFI) or Request for Proposal (RFP) process with vendors (if required).
  • Support Quality Assurance activities which include review test plan, test cases and provide guidance on testing and defect reporting.
  • Support Change Management and overall project readiness activities.

Qualifications, Experience & Education:


  • A University or postGraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Project or Program Management, or a related discipline is an asset.
  • Experience in working on Information Security or Cybersecurity related projects as a Business Analyst and/or Systems Analyst.
  • 10+ years of experience in a variety of projects on multidisciplinary teams is an asset.
  • 10+ years of experience that is directly related to the Business Analysis duties and responsibilities specified is a must.
  • Expert knowledge of Requirements Management Life Cycle (RMLC), System Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC), Business Requirements, Business Process Management (BPM) and Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) methodologies is a must.
  • Advanced knowledge of Project Delivery Lifecycle (PDLC) and Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC) methodologies is a must.
  • Exposure to Organizational Change Management (OCM) methodology is an asset.
  • Business Analysis accreditation (e.g. Certified Business Analysis Professional
  • CBAP, or other professional certifications issued from the IIBA such as Certificate in Cybersecurity Analysis, AAC etc.) is an asset or equivalent formal training in the discipline
  • Advanced data analysis skills such as data mapping, parsing, identifying data sources and types, querying, and gap analys
