We are seeking a creative, dynamic, committed professional to join our team:

Learning Technology Specialist(s)

(2 positions available)

Location:
Business & Learning Technologies *100% In-Person Nature of Position: Regular, Full-time (100%), 12 month work year

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

Salary range:
ESP, Level 6 - $43,749 to $55,890


This is a key customer focused position supporting students and staff working at the OCDSB, while following established business processes and adhering to Board policies.


Qualifications

  • Completion of 2 or 3 year Computer Systems Technician program, and a minimum of 2 years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Completion of Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT) or Apple Certified iOS Technician (ACiT); MCSE (Microsoft Certified Support Engineer), A Plus Industry Standard technical expertise and other relevant designations.
Customer-focused individual who demonstrates excellent customer service skills. Knowledge and experience with interactive and mobile technologies. Works comfortably on a variety of hardware and operating systems. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) for instructing users; ability to clarify and provide information, address problems in a professional manner, and respond to requests and inquiries, using tact and diplomacy. Analytical skills are required for resolving problems. Ability to lift heavy equipment such as computers, monitors and peripherals (use of step ladders for installation of projectors). Ability to organize and manage time and work effectively and efficiently.- Ability to use judgment when troubleshooting, determining corrective action, and/or when installing hardware.

  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively with other B< staff; and can quickly learn new technology independently, without formal instruction.
