    Salary:

    Inspired HR is Recruiting a Site Supervisor on behalf of our confidential client, who is a large sized home builder in Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere, and Calgary. The company is growing, and is in search of a motivated, organized, hardworking individual with excellent residential homes construction knowledge, and great customer service skills to join their team and grow with them. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided for use during work hours.

    Job Description:

    To support Business Objectives by:

    · Manage the day-to-day construction of 60-70 homes per year to maintain budgeted costs, quality, standards, and possession dates.

    · Ensuring that relationships with trades and suppliers are well managed on site while maintaining schedules, building quality, and ensuring site safety.

    Construction Process Management

    · Takes actions to ensure that construction processes and systems are optimized in delivering a product that meets or exceeds the customer's expectations and business results.

    · Maintain jobsite cleanliness and site safety at all times.

    · Balances priorities to drive business results and meet customer needs.

    · Visits homes under construction each day to confirm progress, completed work, and to discuss with trades, their work, responsibilities and to ensure production is happening in each home everyday.

    · Responsible for job safety for staff, trade and supply partners and visiting customers or sales staff.

    · Hazard Assessments to be completed as outlined or as deemed required by site conditions.

    Working Relationships:

    Trade/Supplier

    · Effectively manages the trade and supplier relationships to coordinate timely, high quality partner activities;

    · Takes action to ensure home is ready for partners when scheduled and that appropriate supplies are available;

    · Reschedule homes proactively when necessary to avoid wasted trips from Trade Partners;

    · Manages on site conflicts and is proactive in communicating issues or delays;

    · Ensures partners maintain clean and safe job sites at all times;

    Customer

    · All post-possession deficiencies will be documented to be completed within 15 days after possession when possible;

    Construction Manager

    · Support Construction Manager in resolving major construction problems, scheduling issues and introduction of new products or specifications;

    · Supports company objectives through special projects or charitable initiatives from time-to-time;

    Inspectors

    · Liaise with building inspectors, mortgage inspectors and OH&S inspectors as necessary;

    Working Conditions:

    Physical Effort

    · Limited to what is normally encountered in an outdoor residential construction site;

    · Much time is spent on the construction site, taking part in construction processes;

    · Much time is spent on computers and cell phones;

    · Heavy lifting and some manual labour may be required;

    Physical Environment

    · Work takes place outdoors generally, and as a result, temperatures will vary throughout the Seasons;

    · Workplace in homes under construction have varying conditions whereas many safety and precautionary methods and procedures must be followed;

    Sensory Attention

    · Work requires a high level of concentration and mental aptitude to ensure accuracy;

    Mental Stress

    · There is potential for pressure when managing tight and/or often conflicting schedules and deadlines;

    · Conflicting priorities can produce stress, particularly the requirements to deal with immediate problems while keeping on track with medium- and long-term goals;

    · After-hours management and facilitation of sites or its processes may be required.

    Experience/Knowledge Requirements:

    · Strong construction knowledge required.

    · A valid driver's license and abstract required

    · Knowledge of ANHW guidelines and building codes

    · Attention to detail and strong commitment to deadlines.

    · Must have a demonstrated positive and proactive approach and be prepared to be flexible in the work performed.

    · Framing experience would be an asset.

    · MCT Certification would be an asset.

    * minimum 2 years residential homebuilding site supervisor experience is a must *
