Financial Planning and Analysis Manager - Mississauga, Ontario

Job description
The FP&A professional plays a key role in driving financial performance, strategic planning, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and business performance reporting.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally to provide insights that support leadership and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts
- Partner with department leaders to develop operating budgets
- Maintain rolling forecasts and long-range financial plans
- Monitor performance against budget and provide actionable insights
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports
- Conduct variance analysis and identify key business drivers
- Develop dashboards and KPI reporting for leadership
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives
Financial Modeling
- Build and maintain complex financial models
- Support capital investment analysis and ROI evaluations
- Assist with scenario planning and sensitivity analysis
Strategic Support
- Collaborate with leadership on growth initiatives and cost optimization
- Support pricing analysis and margin improvement efforts
- Evaluate business cases for new products, services, or markets
Process Improvement & Systems
- Improve financial reporting processes and automation
- Work with tools to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure data integrity across financial systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 2–4+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related role
- Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel skills
- Experience with financial reporting tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
