The Asian Chains Sales Representative will report directly to the Asian Chain Sales Manager.


This position will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our customers while also providing administrative support to the Account Manager.

This individual will work primarily out of the Ontario Food Terminal location but may require the ability to travel to our 302 Dwight Ave.

location.

This role functions primarily out of the Ontario Food Terminal location, located at 165 The Queensway, Toronto.

However, you may also be required to work out of the Dwight Avenue location, located at 302 Dwight Avenue, Toronto, on occasion.

This role requires flexibility to work early mornings and weekends. The intended shift for this position is Sunday, 6am - 2pm, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 5:30am - 1:30pm.


Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders via inperson and phone orders
  • Provide excellent customer service, including investigation and resolution of customer complaints
  • Collaborate with inhouse Buyers to identify leadtime for bookings and follow up on load arrivals for customers
  • Monitor daily sales and inventory as well as daily and weekly pricing
  • Manage communication and documentation for customer base
  • Communicate "deals" and special pricing to customers, as directed by Account Manager
  • Work with Marketing to help develop promotions plan for seasonal activity
  • Look at continuous opportunities in improving our customer service process, and make suggestions accordingly to Operations
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of experience
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in written English
  • Strong computer aptitude with experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Capable of adapting to new software and assisting the team
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin or Korean is a strong asset
  • Experience in retail or the wholesale produce industry would be considered an asset
