Sprott Shaw Language College (SSLC) is seeking a full-time Academic Manager for our Vancouver campus.Join us today and play a central role in meeting the academic needs of the campus for both students and teachers, as well as providing operational support to the school.
We are looking for someone who is a natural leader, passionate about education, and experienced working with international students. Training will be provided, but prior experience is a must.The Academic Manager's tasks include:
- working closely with the Campus Director
- training new teachers
- substitute teaching in class when needed, for both ESL and Specialized Programs
- student intake and placement
- teacher support for all classes
- various administrative and project tasks
- general campus operations
- liaison with other departments
Requirements:
- valid Canadian work autorization
- fluent written/ oral English language skill
- a TESL Canada recognized TESOL Certificate and university degre
- a minimum of three years ESL teaching experience
- experience in counseling international students living in Canada
- a team-play who goes above and beyond
- a strong sense of customer service and attention to detail
- administrative and/or management experience is beneficial
- a positive attitude
Job Types:

From $50,000.00 per year
